Tiny was a burly white Duck who knew no Fear.  He feared not Winter’s cold, nor Night’s dark, nor Hunter’s boomstick.  He wings were mighty, his plumage immaculate, and his heart pure.

One fine spring day, the paddling of Ducks spotted a Wolf prowling the shore of the lake on which they lived, and Tiny’s family huddled together in a state of great agitation.

“What if he swims out and eats us while we sleep?” one cried.

“Wherever can we build our nests now that he runs the shore?” cried another.

On and on through the morning they quacked their fears.  It was altogether too much for the stalwart Duck.

“Enough!” shouted Tiny.  “Let me teach you how to be strong.  I shall call out this brute, and rout him entirely!”

All the Ducks cheered this, knowing that if anyone had the courage to face down a Wolf, it was Tiny.

The bold white Duck waddled up onto the shore and called out, “I fear not your teeth, Wolf!  Face me now, or admit yourself craven and depart forthwith!”

The other Ducks much admired Tiny’s bravery and diction.

Then the Wolf appeared quite suddenly from the bushes crowding the shore.  The paddling quivered and quacked in quiet terror.  Tiny puffed himself up magnificently, shining in the sun.

And thus Ducks everywhere learned a powerful lesson from Tiny, the Duck who knew no Fear.
